| Bio: | ![]() Character Info -Full Name: Cody Nakamura -Code Name: Hex -Gender: Male -Species: Human/Mutant -PB: Zac Efron -Character Age: 18 -Height: 5'10" -Weight: 140 lbs -Hair Color: Brown w/highlights -Eye Color: bright Blue -Sexuality: Straight (as far as he knows) -Zodiac: Cancer -Complete Character Description: Cody is adorable and visually the typical California beach boy. His body is slender and boyishly fit and his face...with it's wide, white smile and large, sparkling blue eyes...is even more charmingly impish than Peter Pan's! -Personality: Cody is a sweetheart. He pretty much loves everyone and is interested in everything. The world is his school. He's 18 years old, but he's the perfect mix of Surfer Dude and 1960's Hippy. This boy's good will is infectious and it seems there are few who can resist him...even the grumpiest grumps seem to like Cody. ![]() -Background: Cody Nakamura had swum before he walked. His mother and step-father had introduced him to his first little surfboard at the tender age of 3 and he was a natural at it. From the age of 3 on, if Cody wasn’t eating, sleeping or in school, he was at the beach with his friends…surfing and having the time of his young life. His mom and step-dad, well…he hardly considered James Nakamura his step-dad…the man had married his mom and adopted Cody when the boy was around 9 months old and had been the only father he had ever known…anyhoo, his mom and step-dad were never strict with him and he never gave them cause to regret it. There was one rule his mom held to and enforced…Cody was not to go to the beach at night and during the day, he was not to wander into any hidden coves or such places alone. He had asked her why several times and she had always put him off with “I’ll explain it when the time is right, baby”. It was around 4 months after his 12th birthday that talk became necessary. He was out in the water waiting for a wave when he suddenly felt this urge…it was something alien…something he had never felt before…something between necessity and creativity and he pushed at it…and an iridescent sphere about the size of a volleyball appeared in his hand! This startled him so much he shook it away and it landed on the back of his surfboard…when it did, it imploded and a hole was left in the surfboard equal to the size of the sphere. After falling in the water, Cody climbed back on his ruined surfboard and tried again…another sphere appeared…he held it and it didn’t explode! Then, he saw his friends paddling out to join him and had to think fast so he tossed it to the side…and saw it implode and take a spherical amount of water along with it, which of course just filled back in. He lamely tried to explain away the damage to his surfboard as ”Dudes, you should have been here! This shark shot straight up and poked his nose through my board, right…and I punched him in the nose like they say you should, right…and he went away…how sweet is that? He left this round hole…that kinda cool but pretty grievous at the same time, y’know?”. ![]() When Cody got home, he told his mom what happened and she gave him a big hug and made him a sandwich…”You eat, baby, I’ll talk”, she said. She plopped down across from him and played with his mop of sun-streaked brown hair as he ate..."You know, Cody, I used to be quite the surfer girl myself when I was younger..." "You're not old, mom..." "I love you, baby! Don't talk with your mouth full!", she chuckled. "Now, one night, the old gang had a big bonfire on the beach. It was the end of Summer bonfire and it was a really big deal to us...we partied like it was the end of the world!". She paused to jump up and refill his glass of milk. "I was 16 years old and had a head full of romantic dreams...I was supposed to head home early that night but I took a detour into this lovely cove", she cleared her throat, wondering how to proceed and then decided that Cody was old enough, "I sat for a moment on a rock and just marveled at how beautifully the moon and stars reflected in the nighttime sea. Then, I jumped from the rock when a boy, about my age rose from that very sea. He calmed me with sweet words and soon I was sitting next to him staring into his beautiful face...his beautiful blue face. This extraordinarily beautiful boy had pale blue skin and hair so dark blue as to be black...his bright blue eyes, he passed on to his son...that's you, Cody", She tenderly ran her fingers through his hair, "Your father said he was a mutant and...". "Oh my God! I'm a freak!", the boy screamed and jumped up from the table. Just as Cody jumped up, his father, James Nakamura walked into the kitchen,"What's going on in here? Why does my son think he's a freak, Corinna?" "I told him, Jim...the truth...about his biological father", Cody's worried mother sighed. "My life is over...I'll be hunted down...at 12...", the boy panted. Handing Cody his milk, James ordered, "Here. Drink this". He pulled his chair around to face Cody's and he cradled the boy's face in his hand, "Now look here young man, no one calls my son a freak and that includes my son!". He grinned and tweaked the boy's nose between his fingers. "Cody, mutants are not freaks...they are like, humans plus! Some people are prejudiced against them out of fear or jealousy. It's senseless like any bigotry". Suddenly, Cody's face changed and he gave one of his huge winning smiles..."I love you, dad!", he beamed as he jumped up to hug the only faher he'd ever known. Receiving a hug from the back, James turned in time to receive a kiss on the cheek, "You amaze me, Mr. Nakamura!", Corinna sighed. "You make me sweat, Mrs. Nakamura!", James growled. "Ewwwwwwwwwwww, you guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuys!!!!!!!!!", Cody complained as he pulled out of the hug and ran to the other side of the kitchen, to his parent's laughter. ![]() On weekends and sometimes for longer periods Cody and his father would go out in private and work with his power. He worked sometimes with his mother also and then there were times the three of them went out together. It was on one of their excursions together that he discovered another use of his spheres and where they came from. He had just produced a sphere of considerable size when he stepped on a round stone and slipped sideways and fell into his sphere. He was suddenly in another dimension...one that somewhat resembled the Australian Outback...with a tangerine sky. He ran about in this strange land terrified out of his mind. He screamed for his mother and his father, hoping beyond hope that they could somehow hear him. When he finally exhausted himself, he stopped and sat on a rock and thought hard...and decided to try something. He created another sphere...he made it large and then he stretched it even larger...and when it was as large as he thought it should be, he took a deep breath and poked his head through it... "CODY!", Corinna skreeched, "My God, where is the rest of you?!" "Here, Dad, pull!", the boy yelled thrusting his right arm through. James Nakamura didn't ask questions. He grabbed his son's hand and pulled with all his might, ending up on the ground with Cody on top of him. "Cody, where did you go? What happened?", he asked, hugging the boy so tight, the lad barely had breath enough to answer. ************************************************* His first visit to 'Hexland' (so named after he code named himself Hex) may have been frightening, but that was six years ago...now at 18, it was his refuge...a place to go and think or even a place to store things he wanted to hide. He always returned to the exact spot on Earth he left from no matter where he went in Hexland. ************************************************** Soon he would begin a whole new set of adventures on an airship full of mutant adventurers... -Abilities : Cody is able to produce what he calls 'Hex spheres', which are actually spheres of inter-dimensional matter. As long as he is holding the sphere nothing happens and it stays intact, but as soon as his skin loses contact with it (within several seconds), the sphere implodes and takes away from this dimension an equal amount of matter. So, for example, if Cody were locked in a cell, all he would have to do is create a sphere, lay it on the lock and step back...and the sphere would implode and take the whole locking mecanism away, leaving a a round hole. He has also learned that he can hold onto the spheres and stretch them out and step through into this other dimension, which he has playfully dubbed 'Hexland'. -Family : Corinna Nakamura (mother), James Nakamura (step-father), Ciniver Alivyan (father) -Friends: -Lover: -Location of Character: The Airship "The King's Ransom". -Job/Duty/Position: Crew ![]() | |||||||||
